Other investors in the funding round include BlueRun Ventures, Charles River Ventures, OurCrowd and other private investors.
Airobotics will use the funding to scale its operations in the United States and Australia. Part of the funding will also be used to continue serving the mining industry and other industrial facilities globally.
“We have a strong business pipeline and to keep up with demand for our technology, we are continuing to expand operations across the countries in which we operate, specifically our new headquarters in the US,” said Ran Krauss, CEO and Co-Founder of Airobotics.
Airobotics claims to have developed the world’s first pilotless drone solution. It is now aiming to get a BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) Certificate of Waiver from Aviation Authorities in the countries it operates in.
The latest round brings its total financing to date to $101 million. It had last raised a $32.5-million Series C round from BlueRun Ventures China, Microsoft Ventures and OurCrowd in 2017.
Other investors include Waze CEO Noam Bardin, former Google and Facebook executive Richard Wooldridge, and Silver Lake co-founder David Roux.
